About ABLAQ Studios

Understanding
the spaces we inhabit.

ABLAQ Studios is an independent nonprofit research organization based in Jordan. We study the environmental physics of built spaces through transparent computational methods.

Scientific purpose

Physical questions.
Public knowledge.

Our research examines how spatial form affects environmental exposure. We focus on questions that can be precisely defined, calculated, checked, and shared.

The published courtyard study investigates the relationship between built geometry and direct sunlight. It provides a reproducible basis for examining one physical mechanism, while keeping broader claims about climate, comfort, and energy separate from the evidence.

Our purpose is to make rigorous, inspectable research useful beyond a single implementation. Open methods allow others to examine the work, identify limitations, and build on it.

Scientific leadership

Research direction
and accountability.

The research programme is led by the organization’s Founder & CEO. His remit covers the scientific agenda, commissioning investigations, setting standards for reproducibility and evidence, and taking responsibility for the published research record.

The research leadership profile documents these responsibilities and their connection to the courtyard study. Its authorship and responsibility statement identifies the institutional author, contribution scope, and technical assistance.

Our commitments

Evidence sets the standard.

Professional research depends on clarity about what was calculated, how it was checked, and what remains outside its scope.

Traceable results

Published outputs connect to defined inputs, readable source, and versioned release records.

Proportionate claims

Computational evidence is described as computational evidence. Numerical checks and physical validation have distinct roles.

Open scrutiny

We make original study code and data reusable and provide a direct route for questions and corrections.
